Remembering Christmas Day

Christmas Day was gentled with fellowship of friends.  They came to visit us, all the way from San Antonio, TX, the dearest of friends whose distance makes their company quite rare.  Thus, joyous was the day when they entered our house, their eyes and mouth smiling, and ours smiling with joy in return.

We ate another version of Christmas breakfast, a delightful repast.

Nothing goes so perfectly with food as laughter, nor good company to share it with....

Leonor, Nelda, and Richard

Afterwards, the preparation of Christmas dinner commenced.

Whilst we bent over our dishes in the kitchen, Richard played with Matthew and Sarah Anne.

Then the bell was rung, and we all assembled around the long table.

More joy, more talking, more smiles...

The day slipped by, filled with meditation together, worship, wonderful conversations, until we gathered around the table again, to enjoy butternut squash streusel dessert and coffee, and play a game.

And thus comes the end of our happy December.  It was one of the most unforgettable.  January has passed since, rather quietly, and February is in its fullest time.

Farewell, dear friends.

Emma

Hello Ella (I love that name : ) !

Thank you for your lovely comment! Yes, I just found your blog today from http://mamselleduroc.blogspot.com - and 'followed' it because it looks so interesting and I wanted to make sure to go back to read it all later! And "The Photographer" is your film?! Amazing! Oh my, no, I don't recall where I first heard of it, most likely from someone else’s blog, but it looks wonderful! I haven't seen it, but I would dearly love to! Well, I am off to go look at your movie website right now then, and I look forward to going through your blog as well!

God Bless!

Thank you all for your sweet comments! I am so thrilled to know that others enjoy my photography. It is such fun to record memories in that way. :)

Olivia, yes! "The Photographer" is our film! You should check it out and let us know what you think of it. =) "Ella" was actually my character's name in the film and I fell in love with it! So, Ella has become sort of my "screen name". I love being called by that! My real name is Johanna. :)

Genevieve, thank you for your interest in our Squash dessert! It is ever so yummy. :) We are currently compiling a "recipe" post and that recipe will be included!

Stephanie, I'm so glad you enjoyed our post. It is such fun cooking in our Ramsey kitchen. We love delighting our family members as we serve them yummy dishes. Cooking with my mom and sisters everyday is such a wonderful experience. The bread is called, "Rosemary Garlic Braid". It is sooooo delicious! Would you be interested in the recipe? Oh yes, that salad is my absolute favorite. :D

Thank you again girls! Many, many blessings,

~Ella
