A Day at Rambellwood

Morning... early....
an angular girl swings a wicker basket onto her hip,
and climbs the stairs to put away the laundry.

She grins when she catches sight of the camera.

Mid-day, with rain sliding down the windows...
Warmth pervades the kitchen...
and potato soup awaits our cold limbs.

Afternoon, and the children skip outside...

Followed covertly by a blue eyed photographer.

The wind whispers against trees laden with light...

While the sun turns the children's heads to gold...

And leaves jewels of light in their sparkling eyes.

The day melts away,
fading with the sound of children's laughter
and the dimming of the yellow sun.

Greetings!
I've been on your blog and music website a few times and thought I'd finally comment :). I live with my family in Gilmer, Tx and we're a fellow big family, reenactors, homeschoolers, and dancers! We went to the Bonnie Blue Ball in 2007 though I'm not sure if I actually met you all, as I got to the dance late. So, I look forward to meeting you this weekend - I'm so excited!! (I think you may know Rebecca Roberts and Atlanta Shannon? - well, their familes are all staying with us and coming to the ball). So it's going to be a fun evening!
Anyways, I happened to get on your blog and thought I'd "introduce" myself before this weekend.
Looking forward to it.
Many blessings, Lydia Covey

Hey friend! I absolutely love your pictures! Just wanted to ask a quick question!

Your pictures are always so clear and beautiful on your blog!!! How do you do that? Is it a setting you use when you upload them? My pictures are usually just as clear (and when you click on them they enlarge and are clear) but when I upload them, they look very grainy. Any suggestions? You can email me if you want!
