Whispers of Coming Joys

Sewing machines are purring gently through our house.

Piles of soft fabrics, black and white wool, wine colored satin, and vintage, green-y interfacing await the "snip, snap" of our scissors.

Vintage pictures smile up at us from vintage patterns.

We whisper.

And Christmas draws closer and closer.

P.S.  A blog regarding the annual Bonnie Blue Ball and other historical dances is in the works... We await its completion excitedly!

*sigh*

Don't you love the secrecy of Christmas? But I must admit, I'm the impatient one of the family...secrets are lovable, but drive me bonkers! ☺

I can hardly wait to see what you have up your sleeve...I know that if I were to be the recipient of something made out of that darling vintage pattern, I would be in heaven, simply heaven...so I can only imagine the glee somebody is going to feel!

Love you so much!

This post was pure inspiring and dreamy! You worded it beautifully. The sewing machine were humming here today as well. But not with wine colored satin or vintage patterns. Very sad - I know. Where do you buy most of your vintage patterns?

Laura, we get most of our vintage patterns on Ebay, that or Etsy. It is terribly addictive! One search on Ebay and you are swooning! You should try it.:D
